My Pbwiki

I was afraid to edit or create any pages on pbwiki because I thought I may have damaged somebody’s work. At the same time I didn’t have self confidence due to the lack of experience with pbwiki. I tried to solve this problem and I found an effective solution. I created a new pbwiki with a different account and made it my experimental field. It took my about three hours to try to make something interesting and useful besides using the available tools of the pbwiki. I also used both my mother tongue and English language and this helped me a lot. It was not difficult for me to find some ideas and applying them using L1. At last I could understand how to use a pbwiki as a tool in language teaching. I remembered my tutor’s sentence which means that I don’t have to ask my self how technology can help me in my proffession but I should ask myself how I can use it to help me.

Thoughts

When I heard the word ‘blog’ for the first time, I thought that it is a complicated matter. The reason behind my thoughts was because I had never used it and I know nothing about it. I began my journey with my blog when our tutor in Edinburgh university asked us to keep a blog or a learning journal to write about our learning in it. I found it a bit difficult to write all my thoughts and to use my English language in a place where anyone can read and comment. I have an open mind but I think that I am not used to using this educational tool in my learning .

                       Sometimes I ask myself  ’What’s the use of keeping a blog?’ I can’t find an answer to this question now because I don’t know enough about blogs and because I am a new user to it. I am sure that after few weeks I will be able to answer my question.
